Announcing Us TOO New York & Cancer ABCs™ support group for men with advanced and metastatic prostate cancer

Us TOO New York & Cancer ABCs™ are excited to announce the start of a new support group just for men with advanced and metastatic prostate cancer. This support group is designed specifically for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer that has migrated beyond their prostate gland. Men who have not had any treatment, men who have had treatment that has failed (a prostate cancer recurrence either rising PSA only or with identified metastases) and men who have had any type of advanced treatment are all encouraged to attend this monthly meeting.

The Us TOO New York & Cancer ABCs™ support group will meet on the FIRST Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at Weill Cornell Medicine in room B307, the same room as the main Us TOO New York meeting which occurs on the THIRD Thursday of each month. This group will be moderated by Joel T. Nowak, MA, MSW, the Executive Director of Cancer ABCs. Joel is a cancer fighter and thriver with five primary cancers, including advanced prostate cancer.

This is a free drop-in group. No advance reservation or registration is required. Please note that this group is ONLY for those with advanced and metastatic prostate cancer. All caregivers and significant others are always welcome to attend our main US TOO New York prostate cancer support group.

Please contact Joel T. Nowak for more info: CancerABCs@gmail.com or (516) 445-2026.

After the presentation, we have a question and answer session, and provide an opportunity for patients to network with others who have had similar experiences. We welcome all, old friends as well as new, and especially spouses, significant others, and other family members.
